A new space for learning, creativity, and discovery is officially open at the Jack & Cindy Jones Youth Center at Mar Vista Gardens Boys & Girls Club!

On August 21, we celebrated a brand new Panda Cares Center of Hope, made possible through a partnership with Panda Cares Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA).
The celebration brought together Club members, families, staff, and community partners for a ribbon cutting, Panda Express meals, interactive activities, and special giveaways.

The newly transformed Center features fresh paint, new carpeting, modern furniture, books, STEM kits, art supplies, and digital learning resources. The space supports Project Learn, Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s approach to helping members strengthen academic skills through homework help, tutoring, enrichment, and engaging learning opportunities.
“This space serves as a hub for curiosity, literacy, and innovation, which are all foundational to academic success,” said Brynja Seagren, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica.

For kids at MVG Club, the Center provides a welcoming place to complete homework, explore new interests, build confidence, and develop skills that can support their futures.
We are grateful to Panda Cares, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, HACLA, and everyone who helped bring this new space to life. Together, we are creating more opportunities for our members to learn, create, and grow, one space at a time.
