Conserving water is important for our community! At Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica, conservation education includes more than just rules or reminders. We work on building habits and helping the next generation understand why it matters.
Here in Los Angeles, water is something we all share and protecting it starts with small everyday choices at home and in our communities.
We see how excited kids get when they realize they can make a difference. Something as simple as turning off the faucet while brushing their teeth or keeping showers short becomes a moment where they feel responsible and proud. These are easy habits families can practice together!
Club kids are also passionate about saving water in our outdoor spaces! From watering in the morning or evening to learning about drought tolerant plants, we turn conservation into hands on lessons in our community garden. We take pride in taking care of the spaces we share with our neighbors.
LADWP offers free water saving items to help families conserve. Resources like faucet aerators and efficient showerheads make a real difference and are easy to install. Saving water is simple! Learn more at www.LADWP.com/WC.
When kids feel included and supported, they grow into mindful community members. By working together, we can raise Water Champions who understand that every drop truly counts.
