Our annual member survey helps Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica continuously evaluate and improve the Club experience for the kids we serve. It’s an opportunity for your child’s voice to be heard! Their answers inform programming and help us make sure the Club is a fun, safe place for everyone.
Club members will be taking the National Youth Outcomes Initiative (NYOI) survey between March 17 and March 30, 2025, during regular Club programming.
The survey asks about experiences at the Club and attitudes, skills, and behaviors related to Club programs. The survey is optional and anonymous, so members can skip questions, and no individual responses will be shared. Results are used to demonstrate impact to stakeholders and continuously improve programming and practices at the Club.
If you do not want your child to take the survey, you can find the opt out form at the bottom of this page.
More About the Survey
The survey asks how members feel about the activities and time they spend at the Club, education plans, and involvement in community service and work.
Additionally, the survey asks about the attitudes and health behaviors of Club members, including questions about nutrition and physical activity. Teen members ages 13 and older may be asked additional questions around risk behaviors. Members can always skip questions that they do not want to answer.
Is the survey required?
We would like all members at our Club to take part in the survey, but the survey is voluntary. If you are interested in seeing a copy of the survey, you can stop by your Club during regular operating hours. If you do not want your child to participate in the survey, you can submit an opt out form. You must return the form by March 16. If you consent to your child taking the survey, no action is needed from you.
