Former Olympian, softball champion, and founder of the Natasha Watley Foundation, Natasha Watley brought a group of collegiate softball players to lead a fun and empowering clinic for girls at Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica’s Jack & Cindy Jones Youth Center at the Mar Vista Gardens Club. The day was filled with excitement and energy as the athletes shared their time, knowledge, and encouragement with our young members. This workshop was made possible through a special partnership with Girls Inc.

During the clinic, girls practiced throwing, catching, batting, and running bases while learning about teamwork and communication. For many of them, this was their first time playing softball, and they jumped into the experience with enthusiasm and curiosity.
Beyond physical activity, Natasha Watley and her team shared messages about confidence, leadership, and personal growth. Her goal was not just to teach the game but to help our girls build character and believe in themselves both on and off the field. The athletes served as role models, showing what it looks like to work hard and support one another.

By the end of the day, the girls at the Club felt empowered and inspired. They had a great time learning something new, making connections, and seeing firsthand how sports can build strength and confidence. We are deeply grateful to the Natasha Watley Foundation and Girls Inc. for creating such a meaningful and memorable experience.
