Meet our 2025-26 School Year Team

The new school year is in full swing, and our team is honored to be serving your family by providing a safe, empowering space for your kids! Keep reading to meet some of the core members of our team.

Playground Club Manager | Roson East 

Our Playground Club Manager, Roson East, oversees our seven Playground Club locations. He supports the site coordinators at these locations, as well as collaboration with SMMUSD at the district level.  

Roson is a public health and mental health leader dedicated to uplifting youth and families by advancing equity and expanding access to wellness. He has a masters in Public Health and is a current Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Health Psychology.

Director of Operations – Teens & Workforce Readiness | Charles Cleave II, MBA 

Charles Cleave II leads our work to equip teens with the tools they need to thrive throughout their lives. From Youth of the Year to workforce readiness programming, Charles ensures our approach is innovative, effective, and engaging for teens.  

Charles has significant leadership experience in the nonprofit world, including time spent at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City where he specialized in program development. He has a BS in Civil Engineering and an MBA.

Director of Operations – Impact and Evaluation | Christopher Muñoz  

Chris leads our organization’s data practice, from our annual surveys to our program partners to our member database. He also oversees our sports programs!  

Chris has a strong background in data analytics, project management, process improvement, and operations leadership. He is passionate about making a difference for kids.

Club Director – Jack & Cindy Jones Youth Center at Mar Visa Gardens Boys & Girls Club | Yackie Davila

Yackie has been working in youth development for over 16 years. She’s incredibly passionate about creating a safe space where young people can thrive.  

At MVG, she works with her team to help members reach their full potential. They focus on fun programs that spark new interests, introduce valuable skills, and foster lasting friendships. Through these programs, our members learn the importance of community – how to give back, advocate for themselves and others, and make a real difference in the world around them.  

Club Director – John Adams Middle School Club | Elinse Quintanilla  

Elinse joined our team after a career in military service and rose quickly at our Mar Vista Gardens Club, working across a variety of roles and program areas. This year, he was promoted to Club Director at JAMS.  

Elinse has worked as a Youth Development Professional, Sports Coordinator, Case Manager, and Program Manager, bringing teamwork, presence, and inclusivity to every role serving youth.  

Associate Clinical Social Worker | Christopher Musser-Kirby 

Christopher Musser-Kirby is an Associate Clinical Social Worker and a resource for your family! He is a graduate of UCLA’s Master of Social Welfare program with a specialization in Child and Family Well-Being. In his last role, he worked with a wide range of kids and families as a Clinical Therapist in South Los Angeles.  

He can support your family in a variety of ways. If you are a parent or caregiver interested in services for a child, please fill out the Services Interest Form, and Christopher will reach out to you to provide guidance, referrals, or resources.
