Santa Monica, CA – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica is pleased to announce that its Saint Anne School, Boys Middle School Basketball team, the Vikings, won both of their games this past weekend and now have advanced to the CYO Playoffs- Los Angeles Regional Final Four.

“When I started at Saint Anne School in 2012, sports teams were almost non-existent. There wasn’t much commitment from the kids to participate in athletics so it was our mission to change that. This year’s Boys Middle School basketball team is now on the verge of bringing home a title and the whole community is behind them. I’m so proud of the growth and maturity the boys are showing. They hold themselves to a high standard, showing respect and dedication on and off the court while always staying humble.”

–Team Coach and BGCSM Branch Director, Brian Sousa

This is a huge accomplishment and the Clubs are very proud of the team. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica congratulate and thank the team’s coach, BGCSM staff member, Eugene Jones for his guidance, Saint Anne School, Principle Browning, the team’s parents and the rest of the Saint Anne School community for coming to the games and supporting the team.
The team’s next game is Saturday, March 5th at Providence High School in Burbank at 3:00 pm. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica invite the community to come out and show its support!
Go Vikings!
