Berkeley branch members also have the opportunity to become involved in all the leadership & community service Clubs that the Main Branch offers.

Youth of the Year

Crystal was selected to be our Youth of the Year because of her loyalty in our club. She is very responsible in her life, and manages to keep her grades up in school. I believe it is hard to find teenagers like Crystal that are diligent in their studies. She also helps the staff when the club is busy. Crystal is a wonderful role model to the young members in the Berkeley Branch.

Our Reach:

This site only provides programs and services to residents that live in the Community Corporation Building at 3031 Santa Monica Blvd. Membership is free to all residents between the ages of 6-18.

Programs:

Programs include Smart Girls, Arts & Crafts, Technology and Triple Play (exercise activity). We also started a karaoke group, which gives the kids the confidence to sing their hearts out.

Our Staff:

Stephanie Hernandez, Branch Director
Juan Viramontes, Youth Development Professional

Our caring staff are trained to serve as positive role models and to create a learning scenario out of every game, to nurture self-esteem in every exchange with a child, and to boost the confidence that can be so fleeting during adolescence. The positive relationships our mentors build with children at the Club are a key element of our impact on youth.
