Jan. 4 – Mar. 15 - Biddy Basketball League

Biddy Basketball is back for another year at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Monica!  After 50 years, Biddy Basketball continues to be one of the strongest leagues on the Westside. Comprised of average-skilled players to the most advanced, our league strives to teach fundamentals and focus on teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship.  Community of Santa Monica, if you have some free time and would to see where great futures start, come on down Tuesday through Saturday and find out what all the hype is about. You can view the schedule for each division here: NBA, Pac-12, and ACC.

Feb. 11 & Feb 18 - Sunday Spring Football League Registration 

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica & the Pop Warner Westside Vikings will hold registration for its youth flag football league for boys & girls ages 6-14 on Feb. 11th & 18th from 10 am – 1 pm at the Main Branch Club house. With a registration cost of $125, which includes jersey & annual Club membership, this program provides the kids an opportunity to engage in safe, non-contact, continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork.

Mar. 15 - Biddy Basketball Annual Awards Banquet

Biddy Basketball has been around for more than 50 years at our Santa Monica Club. We invite you to join us on March 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Main Branch to celebrate the achievements of all 20 teams in our Biddy Basketball league and recognize our many outstanding players and coaches.

Mar. 30 & 31 - Biddy Basketball Classic

On March 30th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and March 31st from 9:00 to 5:30 pm, the Santa Monica Boys & Girls Clubs will host its 42nd Annual Biddy Basketball Classic two-day tournament at our Main Branch gymnasium. Teams from Santa Monica, Venice, Long Beach, St. Clarita and Challengers Club will compete to win the title of Biddy Classic Champions! After the championship game on Saturday, the award ceremony will recognize the MVP and other outstanding players. This event is free to attend and attendees can participate in a raffle for various prizes.

A number of events take place throughout the year that help to raise necessary financial support for our organization. We are always looking for sponsors, supporters and attendees, as well as new ideas. Fri, Feb. 10, 2012: The LA Suitcase Party!

On February 10th at 6 pm, Nexus-LA will be teaming up with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica and other local charities to create a unique fundraising event which offers guests the chance to be whisked away immediately after the party by private jet for an exclusive luxury vacation weekend in Sonoma Valley. The party will take place at the Van Nuys Airport. Buy your tickets here. Net proceeds from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica ticket sales will solely benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica. Feb. 18 & 19, 2012: PGA Tour’s Northern Trust Open Tournament

The tournament will take place February 14-19 at the renowned Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles. This year, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica is selling tickets to this premier golf tournament for Saturday Feb 18th & Sunday Feb 19th, with proceeds benefiting our Club. Sat, March 10, 2012 8th Annual Run the Waves 5K

Presented by Pepperdine University’s MBA Challenge for Charity (C4C), this 5K Run/Walk raises funds for The Special Olympics, The Children’s Lifesaving Foundation and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica. Pre-register for $30. 

October, 2012: 37th Annual Auction & Dinner

The Annual Dinner, Auction & Dinner is the Club’s largest and most successful fundraiser drawing Santa Monica’s most prestigious business and community leaders. Organized by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica Council, the event occurs every fall and features a live and silent auction, dinner and entertainment.
